This easy grilled seafood pizza includes tuna and imitation crab, plus onion, mozzarella and oregano. It is surprisingly easy to make and the flavor is excellent if you are into succulent seafood.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ready-made pizza crust
  • ¼ cup (60ml) tomato sauce
  • ¼ chopped small yellow onion
  • 4 oz (115g) shredded imitation crab
  • 4 oz (115g) canned tuna or chopped cooked octopus
  • 1 cup (big handful) shredded mozzarella
  • 4 oz (115g) cooked mussels, shrimp or squid
  • Pinch of dried oregano

Instructions

  1. Preheat the barbeque to medium-hot.
  2. Make sure the tuna is very well drained.
  3. Put the pizza crust on the barbecue and cook it until the bottom is golden brown.
  4. If your barbeque has a lid, have it down.
  5. Flip it over, then spread the tomato sauce over it.
  6. Add the onion, crab, tuna, and mozzarella.
  7. Add any other cooked seafood you want.
  8. Sprinkle over the oregano.
  9. Return the pizza to the grill and cook it until the cheese has melted.

Notes

  • Try a creamy garlic sauce instead of a tomato-based one if you like
  • Italian herbs can be used instead of dried oregano
  • Mozzarella is the usual cheese for pizzas but you can use half mozzarella and half whatever else you like.
