Ingredients
- 1 lb trimmed, chopped chicken livers
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 2 seeded, thinly sliced bell peppers (one yellow, one red)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 sliced yellow onion
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon sumac
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- Fresh herbs, for garnish (optional)
Method
- Heat the oil in a skillet over a moderate heat.
- Add the bell peppers, garlic and onion.
- Cook for 5 minutes, stirring often, until the vegetables start to soften.
- Add the liver to the skillet, and the allspice, sumac and soy sauce.
- Cook, stirring, for 10 minutes or until the liver is cooked through.
- Serve garnished with fresh herbs if you like.
Notes
You can use whatever color bell pepper you want.
