Ingredients

  • 1/2 package square wonton wrappers
  • 1.2 lbs (550g) filling, eg ground pork (pork mince)
  • 1 chopped green onion (spring onion)
  • ½ cup (125ml) water
  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch (cornflour)
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Put onion, ginger and water into a blender and mix until a paste
  2. Mix pork, salt and sugar together
  3. Add ginger paste mixture to the pork and mix slowly
  4. Add the cornstarch, oil and pepper
  5. Fill the wonton wrapper, wet the edges, and fold over to create a triangle
  6. Cook the wontons in a pan of boiling water
  7. Drain and serve
