Thirst Quenching Watermelon Smoothie

Thirst Quenching Watermelon Smoothie

This watermelon smoothie recipe takes mere minutes to make and is so refreshing. Smoothie recipes are always good. Whether you make one as a speedy breakfast, as a drink/snack or anytime you are thirsty but want something thick and satisfying, a smoothie recipe always comes to the rescue. There are certainly plenty of easy smoothie recipes to choose from. I love this watermelon smoothie recipe among others.

You can blend fruit with yogurt to make a watermelon smoothie recipe, or use cream, milk or fruit juice. You can also add ice cubes to the blender (not all blenders, but the good ones!) and make your smoothie refreshingly icy cold.

Watermelon Smoothie Recipe: Just 3 Simple Ingredients

This watermelon smoothie recipe features watermelon, banana and yogurt, as well as a handful of ice if you want to add it. All you need to do is throw the ingredients into your blender and hit the switch. Drink this pre- or post-workout or enjoy it whenever you are thirsty and fancy something icy cold and fruity.

Of course not everyone likes their drinks ice cold, so feel free to leave out the ice if you want. The drink will still be thin enough to suck up a straw.

Watermelon is nearly all water after all. I like to drink this watermelon smoothie recipe after a workout, well between workout and shower early in the morning. I find it to be refreshing, thirst quenching and very light on the stomach. It’s very low in calories but filling enough to be ‘breakfast’ if you don’t want to make something solid.

Invest in a Blender for Your Watermelon Smoothie Recipe (and More!)

If there is something every home cook needs it is a decent blender, one which can easily handle ice and nuts as well as soft fruit and soups.

Many recipes require you to throw in some nuts or something else hard and a good blender will have the right blades to make a breeze of such a task.

Get yourself a good blender and you will find yourself using it all the time for everything from milkshakes to pureed soups, this watermelon smoothie recipe and much more.

The Ninja Master Prep is a wonderful blender and you can put any ingredients in there, press the button and you will end up with a lovely blended beverage, soup, sauce or whatever you’re making.

Of course some blenders are really expensive but there are plenty of more affordable options too such as this one, which is one of the current best-rated on all of Amazon.

Seedless Watermelon Review – How Does Seedless Watermelon Taste?

I spotted seedless watermelons at the local market and my curiosity got the better of me, so I bought one. I figured why bother picking out all those pesky black pips if there are seedless watermelons you can buy. Wouldn’t that make this watermelon smoothie recipe easier to make?

Anyway, I was not impressed at all! The seedless watermelon might not have the black seeds but neither does it have much in the way of taste.

I love the wonderful sticky sweetness a watermelon offers but the seedless kind offers a flavor which is, well, not very flavorful at all! Needless to say I will stick with the regular kind from now on. I don’t mind picking out a few seeds!
