How to Air Fry a Hot Dog

Air fry a hot dog and you will have a delicious dinner to enjoy in minutes! I love hot dogs. Burgers too, but hot dog recipes have a special place in my heart.

I love everything from the soft bread to the juicy hot dog itself (sometimes I sub a smoked sausage link), those delicious hot, caramelized, fried onions, and of course mustard and ketchup to finish it off perfectly.

Hot Dog Toppings and Condiments

Some people might enjoy their hot dogs served very simply – just the hot dog and hot dog bun. Personally I love fried onions on mine and usually add both ketchup and mustard.

Some people like to add shredded cheese on top, or some salad (lettuce and tomato slices maybe) while others go the whole hog and make their hot dog into a chili dog!

Why Air Fry a Hot Dog

Since hot dogs and buns are already cooked, you simply have to warm them up, which is why using an air fryer is such a good idea.

It heats up fast and heats your hot dogs fast. You can make as many at once as will fit in your machine, or cook them in batches if that’s easier or if you have a whole crowd to feed.
